Tutorial for the German Version of this game:
MULTI 4 or CZECH Conversion (http://fileforums.com/showpost.php?p=373937&postcount=35)


1. Create two folders:
- 1. ARMA2_1
- 2. ARMA2_2

2. download the attachment

3. copy the dvd9 content to ARMA2_1 folder

4. extract the setup files of attachment to ARMA2_1 folder and overwrite everything....

5. Copy all files (ARMA2_1 -> ARMA2_2) WITHOUT the folder "ARMA2\Addons" to ARMA2_2

6. Now delete only in folder "ARMA2_1" the file "setup2-1.bin", dont delete "setup2.exe"

7. Move those files from "ARMA2_1\ARMA2\addons" to "ARMA2_2\ARMA2\addons"

8. put the "fake files" from attachment to the folder "ARMA2_1\ARMA2\Addons"

9. Edit the Autorun.inf in the folder "ARMA2_2" like this:

10. Burn the contents of the folder ARMA2_1 and ARMA2_2


Volume Label by me:
DVD1 = ARMA2_1
DVD2 = ARMA2_2

Important!!!
To install the game run Autorun.exe or Install.exe
DONT USE Setup.exe!!!!

peterf1999 in your last convertion its a part that i not understand. The is.exe file, where should i copy it? To first Arma2_1 replacing the existent? or to Arma2_2?

the conversion works, I was working with two dvds, but get an error when installing the patch 1:03, the first reported problems in the archives. addons folder of the PBO, the second problem of textures ... and now?

edit1: If u have a german version of the game, u must apply a german patch not euro one.
If the patch is right the files above are damaged, recopy those files from original dvd9 to dvd5 (Arma2_2)

For all version

1. create two folders:
- 1. Arma2_1

2. copy the dvd9 content to ARMA2_1 folder

3. move DirectX folder from ARMA2_1 to ARMA2_2

4. copy autorun.inf and data\ArmA2.ico from ARMA2_1 to ARMA2_2
and edit it by removing the open=autorun.exe line

5. edit setup.dat(use notepad), add this code after F:Uninstall.csv:UnInstall.csv

C:Arma2_2:dvd2
D:ARMA2\AddOns:AddOns

so your setup.dat will look like this


F:Uninstall.exe:UnInstall.exe

6. make a New Text Document.txt and rename it to dvd2(without extension)

7. make folder ARMA2\addons in Arma2_2.

8. move some file from Arma2_1\ARMA2\addons to Arma2_2\ARMA2\addons
till it fits for one dvd.


notes:
-you can patch the game to 1.05 than use the file to make a already patched installer
-you can compress file using gzip (http://www.gzip.org) or Win-GZ (http://www.softpedia.com/get/Compression-tools/Win-GZ.shtml)

some explanation about setup.dat
D:A:B -> copy a directory A and rename it to B
F:A:B -> copy a fileA and rename it to B
L:900 -> check disk space needed in byte
C:A:B -> ask for new dvd/cd with label A and contain file B


anyone know how to make setup.crc?
what crc is used, and use what program to calc the crc?

My version does not contain "pbo" files. They are "pbo.gz" ...

stefboombastic, that was not a big problem. I've used the PL version of the game for the conversion, it to has pbo.gz files - basically spiking pbo files with compression. Just follow peterf1999 conversion, copying the same files just with pbo.gz at end, and after that use
Win-GZ (http://www.softpedia.com/get/Compression-tools/Win-GZ.shtml) to decompress all pbo.gz files on the dvd2 (not dvd1!), and you're get pbo files. That's all. File size difference in my case approx. 200mb.
