CDDA Files Can I get rid of them & how?

After ripping UT, I want to get rid of the CDDA files because they are to big. How can I do this, and still make the game self booting. Please walk me through the process because this is my first rip and copy. I have read everyting and still cannot figure it out. I also have burned 4 coasters and do not want to make another one.

I assume it's Katana with CDDA. I do not see a WinCE directory. It's a 1st_read.bin.

just dahack the game the your 2nd lba without burning the cdda files...

1) Use eo or WinACE to ungzip all the trackxx.xxx.gz


2) Extract the game data files from 2 "ISO" Track
extract [first ISO track] [last ISO track] [last ISO track start sector number]
"extract track03.iso track23.iso 414328"


3) Move all the game data files into dir C:\Selfboot\Data


4) Convert all trackxx.raw to trackxx.wav
Raw2wav *.raw


5) Rename track04.wav as track01.wav,
Rename track05.wav as track02.wav
Rename track06.wav as track03.wav...
Move "track01.wav - track19.wav" to C:\Selfboot\Cdda


6) Burn all CDDA Track at the 1st Audio session

Note: "I don't know after you burn all cdda track and still have enough
space for the 2nd session data or not,if not enough space, try replace
the biggest size cdda track and with smaller size one or cut the cdda length"

dir /b /o /s c:\selfboot\cdda\track*.wav > CDDATXT.TXT
cdrecord -dev=x,x,x -multi -audio -speed=x @CDDATXT.TXT


7) Get the 2nd msinfo number
cdrecord -dev=x,x,x -msinfo


8) Crack ".BIN" files
dahack 1ST_READ.BIN 2nd msinfo number
dahack UTDC.BIN 2nd msinfo number
dahack 2_ACC.BIN 2nd msinfo number
dahack Ginxfer.bin 2nd msinfo number
HACK SG_DPLDR.BIN 2nd msinfo number
HACK 2_DP.BIN 2nd msinfo number
HACK MAIGO.BIN 2nd msinfo number


9) Active CDDA in ".BIN" files
CDDA 1ST_READ.BIN
CDDA UTDC.BIN
CDDA 2_ACC.BIN

10) Binhack 1st_read.bin & ip.bin files


11) Move "ip.bin" from Dir C:\Selfboot\Data to C:\Selfboot


12) Create Data.ISO
mkisofs -C 0,2nd MSINFO Number -V Quake3A -l -o data.iso data


13) Run ipins, input ip.bin & data.iso


14) Burn 2nd session Data.iso
cdrecord -dev=x,x,x -xa1 -speed=x data.iso


15) Try it in your DC :)

Hey, thanks Xena for the step by step, I need it. Only one thing, What's step nine. Active CDDA.
Also where can I find DAhack.exe & CDDA.exe. I've got bin-hack. I've also got the Dc-Cdr program that does a lot of stuff automatically. Is it reliable. Can I use it to hack, 1st_read.bin a,d Ip.bin, and just dahack to hack into the other bins, and will I still need to use CDDA.exe

Is hack 3 the same as hack. Also when I did all the editting to the 1st_read.bin it ballooned up to 1.9 gig. Is that suppose to happen, and binhack won't let me hack it. say memory allocation fault, or something like that. 1 last thing when I get the msinfo which is 0,171420, is the first 0 the bootsector
