i've managed to delete spanish, italian and other non english videos from the cabs with 2 gb layout.bin

then the total was 6.8 GB out of 12GB and now it fits on 2 DVD 5
but the problem is in the middle of the installation it gives me catastrophic error with ok button which if pressed leads exiting the setup

now where have i gone wrong?

Thats what we are looking for, if iscab v10 didn't work then currently you can't remove any files from those cabs properly without messing it up so installer won't work

You can try WINPACK v3.0 beta, but thats for InstallShield v3-6 so i don't think thats gonna even work

yep checked rcd's posted by cybercafee, you only need to split second dvd to 2xdvd5, without editing anything.

If you repacked cabs and tried installing (which won't work) and are trying now 2xDVD to 3xDVD5 conversion which also isn't working, then make sure you start from beginning. Copy DVD content to HDD and do conversion. But do some cleaning before installing

1. Clean up temp folders with CCleaner
2. Delete/Move C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield folder
3. Reboot (not necessary but its suggested)

There is simple solutions for that. After clicking to install software by using the Install Shield Wizard, this error occurs, then go to c:\ program files \ common files \ and delete the following folder: InstallShield

I tried both of them but, it didn't work. And when setup is open you cant erase the installshield. Then first I erased Installshield, after opened the installer but, same error...

sia con il list.txt only ita, (1 DVD9)
sia con il list.txt with dummy file (1 DVD9)
sia con il list.txt full (1 DVD9 + 1 DVD5)
poi l'installazione del game dà errore

Test con tutte le versioni di iscab
e con tutte le pulizie delle dir installshield e ccleaner :(

Yes and no
In practice when you repack the
list.txt is the only Italian, (1 DVD9)
with both the list.txt with dummy files (1 DVD9)
and with the full list.txt (1 DVD9 + 1 DVD5)
Then install the game gives error

Test with all versions of iscab
and with all the cleaning and the installation dir ccleaner :(

Pastarello, you should atleast use google translate before posting.

Problem is with iscab version, like ISCab v12-14 doesn't work for cabs made with IS v10-11 and ISCab v10-14 doesn't work with cabs made with IS v7-9 and so on... Of course you can remove files and repack cabs with newer ISCab.exe but you'll get error -5005 during install.

But luckily for you guys, through extensive searching i now present you...

ISCab v9.0.0.333 *EDIT* Attachment removed, You can find it from Mondragons conversion now.

Not tested but this version should work for this and maybe even for games using IS v7-8

Remember to start all over (recopy DVD content to Temp folder), don't use files what you now have those are already corrupted
