How do you get the .cdi file off a DC cd?

How do you get the .cdi file off a DC cd? I want to put one of those PPF patches on one. BTW, how do you put a PPF patch on a .cdi file and burn it to a new CD-R disc that's playable in the DC system?

you don't get the cdi from the dc people that do that rip it and then put the cdi a compiled cd on the newsgroups or such in a rared form,
