WMP11 won't enable sharing

I'm trying to get MP11 to share my library with my xbox360. It worked on this machine using the same windows install less than a month ago at a different location, but now when i goto enable sharing, i click the box and hit ok. MP11 becomes inactive for 60-120 seconds, then becomes interactable again, but does not enable sharing, i can rinse repeat this until I'm blue in the face but it won't work.

I've seen other forums try to address this problem, and turned all related services onto automatic and still no results. Just wondering if anyone else has encountered/solved this problem.
