I attempted burning a backup with CDRWin. I loaded the cue sheet and hit "Start Recording" and got this error message: "ERROR: 'START DAO RECORDING' command failed on device 1:0:0 Cue Sheet was rejected by CDROM recorder"
From the error message I assume that my burner is not accepting the cue sheet. Why is this? Any way that I can still burn this game? I dummied the bin file with AutoDummy. Could this be part of the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. By the way thanks Linux for that info on Virtua Tennis. My account on the boards isn't working for some reason so I couldn't reply so I put my thank yous here.

ok, first of all, this sounds like there may already be data on that cd.. try it again, with a new cdr. also, you can try the program fireburner (which i prefer) as i alos handles bin/cue files and works better for some people... good luck.. by the way, did virtua tennis work better for ya?

Thanks Linux i'll try that. Ya it's Virtua Tennis i'm attempting to burn here. I made a new account something was wrong with my last one. I have another question. If I converted the dummied .BIN to a .NRG and burned it with Nero would it work?
Thanks, later...

i am not aware of a program that converts bin to nrg files...

I just rename them and they convert automatically...

Anyways I attempted burning with Fireburner and no luck. I tried it twice and it didn't work. I think it has something to do with the dummy file because on the first game I burnt I tried adding a dummy file and it didn't work either. I just put that game on a 650mb because the game was something like 649mb. But this time I have to dummy it because the file is so small. Any tips cause I just can't get it to work. What options should I have checked on Fireburner? I tried to types of CD-R's so thats not the problem either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

well, you can use isobuster to extract the files fromt he bin file, then burn the cd with your prefered burning software. also, you can't just rename a *.bin to *.nrg to convert, they are 2 totally different file types...

If you just add the extension .nrg you can burn it with nero as a nero cd image file.

What does isobuster do? How will this fix my problem with the dummy files?

I should also add that the version i'm burning requires the boot disk and when I insert the cd at the boot screen a chrome utopia reindeer comes up. This means it was a bad burn right?

Can anyone help me? Has anyone experienced the same problem? Everytime I try to dummy a game it doesn't bootup when I insert it at the boot screen. A chrome reindeer and utopia logo come up and nothing happens. I have tried adding a dummy file using nero and have used autodummy with Fireburner with a .bin and .cue file. Neither cd worked and the same results occurred for both. Can anyone help me? Thanks...
