5.5.3.1 is the file version reported by windows on tagesclient.exe (date: 21/02/2008)
tagesclient.dat date is from 14/10/2008
maybe am wrong, but you can get the update from The Patches Scrolls (http://dlh.net/getfile.php?84:0d55ab41eff9f924:b0f6e23f304a2272:X 3/x3tcupdate101to12all.zip), extract it with innounp.exe (the update is a inno setup exe) and check it ;)
