Just recieved the Echelon release of Unreal Tournament.

Just wondering if there was actually a problem with one of the files released or if my copy is corrupted because after it finishes extracting every file I recieve a ".cdi corrupted" prompt, then it deletes the file.

If it is just my copy how do I tell which disk is corrupted? UnRar seems unwilling to help me here.

check each file one by one, they should all be roughly lets say for example 19mb, except of course the sfv and the nfo files and also the last one in the archive that one might be like 8 or 9 mb,
if you see all of them lets say at 19mb and then one is 18.6 or 19.2 that is the corrupt one,
redownload that one,
if you have too little info or too much it will be corrupt and the extraction process will be halted,

Cheers.

But unfortunately I checked that and they are all 19mb or (20mb exact size).

I checked the sfv file and all my files are identical in size, plus the extraction process works fine until winrar writes the final file then prompts the error. Hence why I thought possibly a bad release. Ow well.

same thing happened to me last night. so i just looked around and downloaded file number 12 again. i got it working. the game is sick!!!!

if you get another crc file corupt error, just keep looking. eventually you'll find it.

the file sizes are going to be the same so you'll just have to download it and test it out.

it took me 2-3 tries to get mine to work. when i clicked on the first rar file itcame up corrupted also but finnaly I cliked on all the files and extracted in a bunch then I came up with a cdi then you have to inject to sound files. I have a working copy (its great!!)if you want to trade email me hawg@wk.net

How big is the 12th rar file supposed to be. Mine is 16.6 mb, but i think it is bad because i keep getting a corrupt message too. I guess i will keep looking for one that is real.

I tried opening the archives with the winrar support in winace, but no luck their either. I was reading into the documentation a little bit and it said that CRC errors may be caused by hardware. would anyone mind giving me a successful system configuration or any other tips? thanks
