Hi,

Anyone know if it's possible to put video and data on the same DVD-R so it's readable on both a standalone DVD player and the PC?

I have a video that's already converted to DVD and I want to put the contents of the VIDEO_TS folder on the disk but also have data on there (IE text files & pictures etc related to the video information). I'd prefer not to rip and re-encode all the video information if possible.

So anyone know if I can? Or if I need specialist software or anything?

I'm currently using ConverXtoDVD, WinDVD Creator Platinum & Nerovision express to convert stuff. I use Nero to burn to CD but have access to Alchohol 120%, CloneDVD etc.

Anyway any information would be appreciated as I would like to get this stuff off my drive and not have to burn it onto two seperate disks if possible so links to sites with the software needed would be appreciated if I need anything other that what I'm already using. Oh and step-by-steps would be helpful if it's through new software :)

Thanks.
Baz.

Simply create a video DVD but add a new directory (outside AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS) with the necessary data files in it. You can even create a "hybrid" DVD that autostarts under Windows (via AUTORUN.INF in the root directory) but plays as a plain video DVD in a software/standalone DVD player. For your tests, use a rewritable DVD in order to make no coasters. ;)
