I recently dug up this thing called "PS Hacker" from the depths of my closet, and apparently it works both as a Game Shark AND as an external modchip, thus, I can't currently use it with FFIX for codes, as I'm playing the PAL version. I already know there is a patch capable of crushing the copy protection, but I was wondering if there's an actual Game Shark code for that.
I know there is one for FFVIII (the PAL version of FFVIII also had the protection), and that works great...so uhh, anyone know?
well i did a little digging and can across these codes that might help you they are for explorer but might still work
Xploder Check
$072483DE3535
ModChip Check
$B7A67A3E3535
$17DD46963535

They didn't work, but thanks anyway, I appreciate your work :)
The problem is, the first part of the "modchip check" code shouldn't start with B. When B is the first part, the lenght of the code must be 8+8 characters, which is four too long. I tested both 00003535 and 35350000 for the last part, but no. I guess there has to be a code, though.

Seems like those codes are for the German PAL version. There's a bit of a difference between the UK PAL and German, mainly the different language, so the different region codes probably do not work :P
