Hi,

Sorry to hear about your Mitsuimi troubles; the 4x writer comes highly rated for handling just about every protection system there is, even though it's only a 4x model - this is yours, right?

Have you tried other copying programs? CloneCD & Nero are worthy of mention, as well as CDRWin. Disc Juggler is VERY picky about what writer you use, so I wouldn't worry too much if this program gives a few errors.

As far as new writers go I'm afraid I can't speak from personal experience, but virtually all my internet research on this sucject has made worthy mentions of the Plextor range of writers (rumour: the Plextor models can copy SafeDisc2 with a flash upgrade).

But I guess you've made the right start with a new writer - I see so many friends going out and buying the first writer they can get their hands on, only to come and ask me endless questions as to why they can't copy their games :-(

I personally have a Traxdata CDWR8432. It cannot read RAW (I think), but I also use an old Toshiba 24x drive to do all the reading. However I can burn most self-boot games using Clone CD v2.7.8.1. Some take 10sec longer to get to the Sega logo screen, but for £99 (inlcuding Nero 5!), I'm not going to complain with this little 8x beuty.

The help file that comes with Clone CD also gives a good table of the best writers for copying (updated on web site).

All the best with your quest! :-)
