I am talking about using a method that does not involve opening up my PSP and soldering anything to it.

My PSP is running firmware 3.40 OE-A.

Is there any way (likely through some type of homebrew APP) for me to record a video of my gameplay with audio? I know there is an application called SVCapture but that only records still screenshots or animated gifs, and no sound. I need one that will record actual decent/good-quality video with sound of what im currently doing.

your only option would be to get a psp to tv adapter and hook it in through your vcr

I use a DVD recorder, much easier to get the contents of a DVD onto my pc than a VHS tape. However that is still out of the question. Those things cost too much for what is basically a cheap webcam pointed at the PSP screen, and my screen has too many scratches/rainbow smudge-scratches for anything of good quality to come out of it. Someone was telling me about a type of remote program that lets me control and see my PSP on my pc. Any ideas if I can somehow use that?
