headset conversion

hi there i would like to know if it is possible to somehow convert my old xbox1 live headset to a xbox360 compatible headset???:D its cheeky, but im skint!!

does anybody know if its possible to convert old xbox1 headset to new xbox360 one???

if i cut the end of the old xbl headset off where it plugs into cartridge slot and put a 2.5mm jack on..will it work!!!
