Here is the link to the web page, it's set up very nice and works just fine
http://home.elp.rr.com/terlouw/
BUT...Q3A has a problem, as does and other game that doesnt support ''blid dial'' (means it doesnt wait to hear a dial-tone b-4 dialing out). The page says you cant play these games (NFL2K1 as well) BUT you can. Just have one phone line going to the phone jack, and anouther going to your computer. Use the line in the wall when you start to dial out, when the game hears the dial tone and starts to connect, just switch out the lines. vola.
Now the real problem..the following is from the web page:
Briefly how to configure other online games.
''If you can get the game to dial out, you have to then figure out what ports Sega's servers are using to connect to your Dreamcast. For PSO I used a program called Z-Monitor from XYZ Software. It works great, and should be fine for all other games you want to hack. As I find out more games' ports I will list them here. Also I will probably expand this chapter in the future to make a detailed step-by-step guide of how to do this. After you found out what port's to map, just map them and the game should work.''
I cant figure out how to use Z-Monitor for finding out the ports for Q3A servers (master server?).(&$#%@&*^)
I'd really like to get this to work, firends and I have 2 PCs routed together, and we'd like to have the DC with a good connection for playing eachother. Be happy to make some sort of deal/trade for the info on Q3A. Thx
