i know this an old game, sorry about that.
i have searched, been through all the posts, all 54 of them.
my problem is.
i install mohpa,go to play the game.
click on single player.
play on hard.
then it comes up with the white marker to 100%.
then it goes back to the desktop.
also when i click to play,it goes throught the logos, but im not getting any sound at all throughout the process.
i did click on the setup before i started the game.
i have played this game before on my machine couple of yrs ago.
since then i have updated my pc.
i used to have a 2600 amd cpu.
i dont have trouble with any games, farcry, call of duty2,coduo.
i have bought this game,it is not a download.
just wondering if my specs are to high.
any help please.
my specs are.
amd cpu4000+
x1900xt
santa cruz s/c
winxp pro
2mb crucial mem 4000
lcd 21"
thanks.

Update you sound card/EAX drivers, enable/disable EAX support in the game, lower/raise DirectSound acceleration level in DXDIAG. Read the PC Games forum FAQ for some further general ideas...

thanks for your reply.
EAX support is disabled, its miles 2d sound.
my santa cruz card has the latest winxp drivers.
been through the forums, but came up with nothing.
i downloaded the mohpa demo.
no sound in that as well, that also came back to desktop.
i had this running in an earlier comp, but this one i have now is much updated.
beginning to think it could be my video drivers, might have to go back to earlier ones.

Also, launch "DXDIAG" (Start Menu, Run) and try all sound acceleration levels, too, mostly None and Basic. (I've had only one game ever that needed a lower level and it was an older game...!)

tried what you said in dxdiag, sounds reported okay, heard them all.
i guess i will have to leave the game for awhile, bit chocked really.as all my other games work with sound.
coduo i think was as old as mohpa, even older.
everytime i come on this site i get loads of popups, dont know if is coincidental,or what?
thanks for helping me out.
