I hate to beg or sound like a dumba-- but is there someone who can tell me how to finish a backup using Sly Soft's Clone CD? I used to use 321Studio GameXCopy but for some reason it just quit working and wouldn't let me re-install it. What I am having trouble with is getting the backup to work after I clone it. I don't play the games myself but I do this for my grandkids. When they come out we usually try to entertain them but after breaking some games in the past at a fairly expensive cost i decided to try and make backup copies for them to use. Can someone explain to me how to make it work. Here is what Sly Soft told me[COLOR="Red[COLOR="red"]"]......"The boot-protection is located in the console itself.
The protection information is located on the PSX/2-CD but outside the
writing-range/area of any CD/DVD-burner.

That`s why the hardware of a PSX/2 has to be modified in order to
disable the boot copyprotection asking the PSX/2 drive if there is an
original PSX/2-CD/DVD inside or not.

Comprehensive guides on how to copy PSX/2 CD/DVDs (and ripping of DVDs)
can be found at http://www.megagames.com".
For someone who can help I truly thank you in advance.

You may want to read through the ultimate info sticky, Its old but still some what informed.
You will need a modchip installed or purchase a Swap magic disc to load the backups. use the search engine, there's loads of info on this :)

Hey mate, i know how you feel, its so much easier with backups.

Their is a choice of using a Memory Card exploit, i did on my "Fat" Ps2, and it worked great. Also, the tool needed you can fabricate out of a old credit card in 10 minutes.

Heres a link if you want to take a look:

Ive tried it and its worked wonders, hard maybe first time but worked perfectly.

Just give it some patience :)

You can also break the tray eject by raming a card under it to make it eject.
A Modchip is ALWAYS the best solution.
