DC copying language and exact copies/help needed/simple 4 U*hard 4 me.

NOTE:I checked out the FAQs and it is no help to me. BOOT CD, what is that? and .bin ?

I do not understand these words like boot cd and ISO and all those high PC vocabulary words.
This is how I am set up.
- I'll rent a Dreamcast game from the local store bring it home and want to make a copy.
The game is probebly going to be Sonic Adventure or
Power Stone 1 or 2.
-I have a HP 9100 series 8X 4X 32X CD-burner. I can make an exact copy with it. says that in a burning option that came in the program. cool huh?:)
-How do I get started and what do I need and such?
remember, I am not a programming master so some words might be new to me like boot CD but I catch on pretty fast.
thank you in advance.
You should understand these words.
'You CANNOT copy an original!'

the words make it sound difficult to copy a dreamcast game and thats because it is difficult. but if your burner has that special option, go and rent a whole bunch of games and make copies of em :)

From what I've read so far, you need some sort of special cord to copy a game. It's probably easier to get the ISO from the net although I have not done it yet (I'm a beginner too).

*Shrugs.... no, you cant copy a gd. the pits are packed too closely together so it would be like trying to play a dvd in a cd player... wont work.

:) Yeah, I can imagine the grand number of games you copied. hehe
But this GD-ROM gygarom if I may call it, is a protector of data.
The small piece black ring acts like a Berlin wall to what is the real data storage space, the outer part of the black ring between the ring itself and the edge.
I have a HP 9100 series and there is a burner application on it that makes exact copies. I am positive it should adjust itself to burn so small, but as for the reading part of it.. well.... I am screwed.
I still have no clue what the hell a boot-cd is or what it does. lol :)
But I'll catch on pretty quick.
I'll keep you all up to date if I succeed in my experiments.
thanks for all your replies and to that guy who says you cannot copy originals, stop the non-sense, I know I can copy GD-ROMs if I want to.
Let the results speak for itself.
peace ya'll
Dre - you are so full of crap!
Read the relevant section on GCW as to why it is impossible to copy GD-ROM!

IT is very vy posble to copy your own games through the serial cable... get that and the Gd ripping toolbox and yer set to go. There is a rumor that Kalisto and all the other big groups used special burners that sega uses. Kalisto released that in an info of theirs. Even if thats not how they do, you don't really believe with all the fast releases theyve made that they wait 24 hours for a slow serial cable to do it do u? there is another meathod involving a card that goes in the PC made by like double dutch. the software for that one is Catrip found at this very site. I know someone who works for a major game company and few people who work there even have this burner to 'burn gds' this is why the boot disc was first developed 'so developers could easily test their stuff'

So who are you supposed to be?!
The bad-ass forum phantom?

Lay of my back man you are such a ####.
I'll copy whatever the #### I want, whenever I want.
Get a life you loser.
For all you newbies out there, keep trying and you'll succeed. Not like this BOT-CK F.U.C.K.-nut who is a lamer who probebly never succeeded in copying a GD-ROM so he thinks he can bitch at others.
You know, there are counselors for people like you. Get bullied on and take their fat-a.s.s. aggression on other people who do good. SO F.U.C.K.-OFF mother ####er and get a ####ing life.
I think you can buy a life at Giant Tiger for 1.99$ :)
