View Full Version : Problem - Game or DirectX???

few days back, i formatted my pc,, and got a new card,,,,, fx 5200.

working perfect,,,, but recently,, when i installed the suffering, after playin

for 5-7 min the grafx got shattered,,,, it happens 1 in 8 times,,,, the grafx gets shattered,,,and then when i check dxdiag, i find that the dx is corrupted.... i uninstalled teh game,,,,, but m facing the same prob with pop-sand of time rt now,,,,, thou, m also playin max payne 2 without any probs..

1 in 8 times,,my dx gets corrupted,,,then i have 2 install it again,, and restart.... just happening with pop-sand and suffering,,,but before this never happened....

help needed pals...

no bro...

no overclocking,,,and neither over heating....

some games work perfect..... and in some (suffering, pop-sand, and 1 or 2 more) the direct x gets corrupted... while playin the game,,, and that 2 not 4 long,,it gets corrupted within 5-8 min....

Perhaps, some of these games don't stress the GPU that much. I insist that you get a system info software and make it display the GPU temperature all the time. (E.g. Lavalys Everest can be configured to display it in the system tray.) When the game gets weird, exit it right away and see the GPU temperature: over 60-70 degrees Celsius (it depends) is not good.

Possibly the graphic card has a fault, would be my first suspect.

The Gforce 5xxxx series always had problems with DX....
