Hey, I purchased this game on tuesday... But, I can't play it offline due to the fact that it must connect to the servers... And my computer at home doesn't have an active internet connection (56k). I would like to avoid tieing up the phone line for hours while I play PSU... Any ideas?

Does this game have an offline (i.e. single player) mode at all?

There is a single player mode and it requires internet connection to play. There does not appear to be a patch or nodvd in existence to date in order to remedy this.

I have the same stupid problem, except i have no internet at home, only here at work.
Any ideas guys ? It is really annoying to buy the game and cannot play it , even in single player mode.

I guess you missed the "Must have internet connection" on the box?

It says u need internet connection, but knowing that the game has an online and an offline part, any sane mind will think that u need internet for ONLINE right ?

They write that explicitely INSIDE the box, and that is after u buy it and open it.

A shameless fraud from Sega's part.
And now i am stuck with this :(

I suggest you contact the publisher and ask them about this...

I fail to see how you can refer to this as fraud since that implies intent. Obviously it's a misunderstanding although I can see where it would be confusing, I certainly didn't expect an internet connection to be required in order to launch the offline game portion.

I don't see anybody creating a patch either because the game technically works, so which group would take up such a task? If it were Half-Life 2 or something huge like that it would also be a different story.
