help!!!! NEWBIE!

ok folks, please help me out here. I am thinking about getting a dreamcast, bust I'm cheap and I won't get one unless I can copy the discs that I rent. I have a good CDR, and work at a computer store , so I can get a better one if I need one. can I just copy these mammas? that kind of mod-chip style investment would I have to make? what's the deal with GD roms? anything you all could share would kick butt
