way to remove scratch from gds help!

i was going to the store to buy some scratch remover stuff (quake 3 had a few minor scratches that was stopping me from ripping it) and a guy there said to just use toothpaste as it worked just as well. i tried it and it totally ####ed up my game! the whole thing is just covered with little scratches and the dc wont even play it! Does anyone know any remedies for scratches that work? or a site that sells scratch remover stuff for a cheap price? help would be greatly apopreciated

what you need to do is get yourself some Son of a Gun protector made by STP it is a high density polymer which will bond with (with its plastic properties) cd surface use a soft chamois to wipe it in and rub.
i use this on my palm IIIxe screen to fix scratches, i don't know if it will repair what you have done with toothpaste but that is a definite no no to do.

Have you tried T-Cut. My copy of Soul Calibur had a number of big scratchs that kept causing it to freeze after using T-Cut it worked perfectly.

anyone know of a site that has either of these? i saw a few re-surfacing products made for cds but most of them were like 15 bucks for a little bottle (and i have tons of old scratched cds so i would like to be able to fix most of them) The scratches the toothpaste made were tiny (whole bunch of them though) so it will probably fill em in.

You should of kept them good in a first place! :) I treat all my CD like Gold. I store them all nicely. :)

Anyways, any scratch remover will do, But do use a softcloth to wipe though otherwise you'll just get even more scratches on the CD.

i do keep them good. i dont care about pc games cuz when they get too scratched i just clean em and make another copy but thats hard with dc. all of my games are perfect cept that one cuz I have a little cousin (10) who obviously doesnt care about something if its not his and always puts it on the ground n stuff when hes done using it.

id go to the store where the guy that told you to use toothpaste drag him out back beat him steal 50 dollars from him and go back in and buy a new game
