View Full Version : WMA to MP3
I originally copied my music CD's to my computer in WMA format. Later on I purchased an I pod and used I Tunes to convert back to MP3. Did I lose much in this conversion. Would I be better off to recopy my collection directly to MP3?
Thanks for the help.

Huy, I'd recommend you to do so.
Depends on the bitrate you used to create the WMA, less than 192 wouldnt really be good, even worse if you convert them again (to MP3 for example)...
It's up to you, if you can't hear a difference, it's useless anyway ;)

The new windows media player 11 offers the possibility to convert your music directly to mp3. So in the future you won´t need or use the option wma.
But keep in mind that on 14. November. 2006 the new microsoft player from the zune family comes out. This is not advertising but promotion for the player. :)
