recently i purchased a dvd drive so i can burn dvds and make copies of games that friends own. Ive tried burning many discs, close to 25 games and only 1 has worked. can anyone help me out by saying the best settings? I have a Pioneer dvr-r100 internal dvd/cd writer and nexxtech 4.7 gb dvds if that helps at all

First of all, you can't make a working 1:1 copy of any up-to-date copy protected dvd game. The reason is simple: to do this, you have to burn the game in DVD-RAW/DAO mode - but there's no dvd writer out there, supporting this mode.

And secondly a question:
Did you read the board rules  - especially this part:
Do not discuss warez! Do not ask where to download illegal copies of PC/console games or how to make them work. Warez means not having the original CD/DVD; see rule #3.
Such questions are related to obviously illegal activity; your thread will be closed and you will be banned!

I ripped yesterday "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion" with Alcohol and the Copy WORKS !!!! It works even with the Image in my virtual drive. Alcohol is a great tool. The Copy only works on PC's with Alcohol installed and enabled DPM Emulation, so it isn't a real 1:1 copy, but who cares. It runs. :D

...you can't make a working 1:1 copy of any up-to-date copy protected dvd game... I ripped yesterday "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion" with Alcohol and the Copy WORKS !!!! The Elder Scrolls IV - Oblivion don't have a "real" copy protection. It's only a simple CD-Check !!!

@Raid3n: Banned for two weeks to give you time to read the board rules !!!
