Xbox blinking orange

xbox plays for a couple minutes then starts blinking orange, no picture


was modded with duox2, removed and ran stock and softmodded does the same any which way


any ideas?

umm
blinking orange (i assume green and orange?) is usually when the audio/visual cable is not in
maybe something with that connection is wacked?

no its blinking just orange...never seen anything like it

whats the color when it's not orange?

the unit will turn on be green, work for any where from 10 minutes down to 5 seconds then i will lose picture, eject button will blink orange and the unit will be pretty much locked....have to unplug to power down..its a v1.6 i think

i think orange is usually heat problem
llama's LED website is down
but i think its a heat issue

ill check the fan and post back later...the only thing i can think of is that i put the fan back in the wrong way....its a modded blue led fan

yea thatd be a good idea... and itd make most sense
since it cuts out after a couple mins.. then goes orange
lets hope so, right
....
if it still doesnt work, then try runnning it wiht the thing entirely opened (like case off and shizz) for full ventilation

a big thanks.....it was the fan failure......so now we know a solid blinking orange is an overheating issue
