Sony's PS3 is gearing up and preparing all ammunition in a battle with Microsoft well known Xbox 360. In deed, Sony's PS3 is ready to engaged in a war with Microsoft Xbox on November. A few months from now, a lot gamers are excited and anxious about the turn out of this major breakthrough from Sony.
Will Microsoft Xbox360 be on top after the entry of Sony's PS3. PS3 as we all knew will make its debut on November geared with its Playstation Network - PSN is an online service of Sony's PS3 which will offer owners some free gaming at the basic subscription level and allow members to host their own game servers (WOW). Sony's hopes lie in the "more games, pay less" strategy which will help catch up with Xbox Live. Aside from the free game playing, the PSN buffet will include voice/video chat, messaging, matchmaking, ranking, game data uploading/downloading, shopping, content downloading, micro payments and subscriptions. Awesome! Surely Sony's PS3 will be a counterstrike to Xbox Live.
Microsoft on the other hand says that they are not alarmed with Sony's PS3. Im pretty sure, that Microsoft will not go in battle without a fight.

Will Sony's PS3 beat Microsoft Xbox? PSN or Xbox Live?
Let your voice be heard post your bright opinions here.

I only have a PC and lately a PS2, too, neither either of the XBOX'es nor interested in a PS3. However, according to what I read in Warlock's PS3 intro, all components of the PS3 are futuristic: high performance CPU and video, high capacity network and media, high resolution video output, none of which will get obsolete soon. Not trying to piss of XBOX (360) owners but what are the XBOX 360 fortes that can beat the PS3?

I think that if any here believes that the x360 will even sell half as much as the PS3's, then they are just being ignorant.

MS had a great online service last gen. That is probably the main reason for most of the sales. However, the people at Sony are not morons. They saw where their competition succeeded, and now they will offer a similar service.

That is why competition is good, it brings out the best a console could offer. Since Sony will get their console into a lot more homes, one can assume that their online service will get more users. However, I don't think that it will be quite as good. I only say that because it doesn't seem like Sony is pushing the online service to the devs like MS is. All x360 devs must support the xbox dashboard features. They have a pretty large standard. That could be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it.

Nice point you got there. Maybe perhaps the main reason why Sony will release the PSN is that they know that MS did a good job and blows out profit from of XBL last year. And that Sony would like to have a share to that growing market. If Sony can out stand MS with its PSN over xbox live, i think that will be a great job for Sony. But on the other hand XBL has been around in the market for quite sometime now and I bet they already know the loops and hoops of this business and maybe there on there way to perfection. If that's what they want to call it.

This is going to be a good competition over Sony and MS, the main concern here is that who will offer the best service?
