I just tried the GHC and it does the same thing.....it won't let you get out of the cars and inverts your mouse. Just mount amd play...that works fine.

From what ive seen of their Nfo (not an ascii nfo) I dont think its a proper crack, more a demo probably hence why controls are screwy, probably developers made sure the demo exe couldnt be used.

The GHC crack is nothing more than the NOGRP crack with some tags and compressed afterwards.

In other words, GHC is a bunch of lamers who can not even properly hide that they have stolen this crack. :rolleyes:

When I try to run the game with one of the cracks I downloaded from the gamecopyworld, mouse invertion doesn't work and I can't leave the car.
When I use no crack and try to run the game by mounting image using Daemon or Alcohol 120, I keep getting error message "Please insert the correct DVD-ROM, select OK and restart application". Is there some other way, how to run the game ? If it is, how ?

I dont know why, but when i start up using the cracked .exe the game just goes onto a black screen, and does nothing, no sound, and pretty much does nothing at all.

I've bought The Godfather game and i am trying to back it up but i cannot find a decent crack to do so. The cracks that have been uploaded so far have control issues and after entering a car in the game you cannot exit it (!!!) . It's very simple.. if you apply the crack and it's possible to run the game, that doesn't mean, that the crack works !! If you can get out of the car and mouse invertion works, then the crack REALLY works..

Yesterday I had the clone CD image of Godfather wich I burn on my DVD burner. I put Daemon Tools v4.03 on Securom Emulation and started the game.

ALL worked out fine, I could play, and EXIT the damn cars:) . This morning when I started the game, it would tell me that it couldn't find the DVD... :confused:

yes, the fixed image does the same thing that both cracks and the original image mounted in d-tools 4 did, and that is crashing after the first splash screen (the ea copywrite info). one of the cracks played the first two seconds of the audio for the next splash before crashing and actually giving me a crash notification instead of the straight to desktop action. quite frustrating... and apparently not universal.

any way i've downloaded a cloned version and loaded it in dt with no emulation crap, no blax, nothing. and it works like a charm. i'm about 22 hours into the game now with no probs.

the +7 trainer also works without a hitch.

Guys, if the game crashes without a crack, too, you're experiencing some crack-UNrelated problem. Read the FAQ on what software components to check/update and contact the publisher for help (that's their damn duty! ;)).

joe, we know that, we're just troubleshooting the problem--and for those interested, my alienware 5500 is now starting the game just fine after reverting to their released driver set for my nvidia6600 so this error is a driver issue--no idea which drivers are affected, but it IS a driver issue, so rollback my children, roll BACK.
and now i'm off to play (using fixed img btw, which works)

When using the cracked executables the game starts just fine but while playing i experience the known control issues. So i replaced the cracked exe with the original one and mounted the mini image to dt 4.03. This dont work. I still using the original exe, i mounted this image in DT4 , ran sr7, didnt work. Tried with sd4, didnt work. Tried cureRom didnt work.

When i start game, it loads EA screen and goes right back to desktop. Sinces it pointless you use the cracked exes that are out, might as well use original dvd disc until a working (bug free) crack is released. The game is only a day old, ill keep an eye out for a deviance crack, never had any issues with them.

That's because the size that image after extraction from the rar is about 2.8 GB. Maybe you're just a bit short of that?

Same thing was happening to me yesterday! Just let it sit there for a while and it will finish the download. Yea the download is about 2gigs!

Ran the game, but it immediatly kicks me to desktop.

yes it works perfectly fine with original disc. Me and my dad like to play the same games. We generally always play games at the same time, so we always use clones or images instead of buying the same game twice. Its annoying to constantly switch cds btween pcs.

As much as I dont agree with this particular part of the law but in most cases the EULA does state that the game must only be installed onto one PC at a time. I know this sucks but thats just how it is.
I believe we should have the right to install our game onto any PC we have at our own house.
For example, when you buy a Monopoly Board Game, you dont buy a copy for every member in the house who wants to play! So why should we be expected to buy a CD Game for every member of the house!
When we buy a music CD we dont buy one for every member, in the house, who is listening to it!
I have 2 kids, and 3 PC's, I dont buy a game each for them! (even tho 99% of the time they are not playing the same game at the same time.)
Keep in mind, not all EULA's are the same and the law is not the same in each country, so it does depend on where and what the law states. ;)

Yea, but how would they even really know?? Thats the silly thing. I mean, if your not redistributing it for profit, or anything, theres no real way of getting caught breaking the eula. It makes you wonder why they even include it. I can understand with a software program like windows. I know ive had to call up microsoft and get a a new key to activate windows for updates, and all i did was format my HD or upgrade. Microsoft doesnt seem too fond of multiple installs of window's products with the same key, even if it's a perfectly legal copy.

Here's another thing to try, start the game using the original disc in one machine, once the game is playing then remove the disc and start the game in the other machine. Sometimes the disc is only needed to start a game.

The INI file may be in Italian if the developers were Italian. However, that doesn't necessarily mean that the game can be played in Italian language, too.

I mounted the image with Alcohol 120% (ver. 1.9.5 build 3823, last one). I used no crack. When i try to load the game, I got the first black screen with copyrights of production and then the game shut down and brings me back to desktop. Whats' the problem?

Is that possible that there is something lacking in the textfiles because I didn't even find anything "enter a car/exit a car" in the game's options, but something I did on the textfile so there was a buttonchange made T=Y.. just wondering will the mouse issue be fixed somehow in the same way.. but I don't bother try because I understand..nothing of these textfiles... :D

Edit: I'm not sure if someone tries to substitute the "default"file in the ORIGINAL game's files to the other game, so will it work then..

Ran the game using the original godfather.exe and it seems to be working fine.

I can get in and out of cars pressing the space bar. Although seems you can't get out of a car while its moving like in GTA, but I think thats by design not the copy protection kicking in.

Don't seem to be any mouse issues. Although the fact that there seems to be no mouse look, is that by design? What I mean is, for games like GTA, Oblivion, BF2 etc etc, you move your mouse to the left, you look to the left. On the Godfather, you move the mouse to the left, your character stays still but the camera just will spin around 360. I take it thats by design? There seems to be no option to change it to old school, mouse look.

Looks to me as if its designed for the console rather than the PC.

i solved my problem
but ironically, the original dvd didnt work
I had to do it the less honest way and get SD4hide and daemon tool v4
download a patch
mount it
and then the game worked fine

this may have answered my question right here. I am using an OLD Nvida GeForce MX440, the computer has 256 MB ram, and im hooked to a Samsung DLP with VGA (for what its worth). I get the loading screen and the menus, but i cannot see my mouse pointer. I have to guess where it is to highlight things. When trying to create a character, I cannot see the character either. The ONE time I actually managed to get the mouse pointer over 'OK' to get into the game, the game looked like a polygonal mess (think SNES Star Fox gone bad). I could make out dressers and desks here and there, but it was unplayable. Is this because my video card is just old and outdated and isnt supported, even with current drivers?

Install game.
Don't replace the .EXE.
Mount the mini image using latest Daemon Tools.
All emulation options in Daemon Tools set to off.
And thats it, works that way for me.
No need for any other curerom type tools.
And BTW "darthmarc" no need to be rude these guys are only here to help, So stop the rudeness. It gets you nowhere!

Hi! I encounter exactly the same problem with a french version from this game and reloaded's english crack. i have tested the GHC Crack and the IND crack, exactly same problem.

Now i have tested the reloaded crack by a friend on a english game and it work proper!

I think all actual crack's are only for english version and work proper on their..

Don't use it for euro version.:D

To change the installation language, copy the entire dvd to a folder on your PC. Open the Autorun folder and then open the autorun.cfg file with notepad. Scroll to the list of languages and simply replace the 0 with a 1 after the name of the language you require. Also replace the default language 1 with a 0. Save the corrected file. Install from the EA Autorun file.

I dont think its a proper crack, more a demo probably hence why controls are screwy
it isn´t a demo exe. Godfather is Safedisc v4.60 + SDAPI (Custom).
the cracker coded an emulator to return valid functions. (same as FIFA and NBA 2006).
this leads to problems for some ppl i.e. can´t get out of car etc...
custom sd4 is a bitch... but seems like only EA Games are using it.

:) Its a know issue, by using this english crack on a european game, player name dosn't work. For a French version, i have make a "transition file" to replace in "frontend_pc" folder, after replacing this file, you can write the name but the english game crack work unproper, you can't go out from car and have inverted mouse same as english know crack bug.

Don't use a crack, just mount image in demon tool 4 and nothing more, play have fun.

Computer shut down after 3D playing is a driver issue or last mission corupted game file or is possible you have not enough power from your power bloc :rolleyes:

Have you tried to install and play the game with the orginal disc, if so contact the publisher, or update your drivers

there is no other way than this
to emulate gpdfather without mounting a 3.X GB image on your hard drive you must use "Game Jackal" i am using it and the game is working 100%

just download a file named "MI-GTG" its about 1,4mb packed with rar.
unpack it and there will be 2 files. " mds and mdf"
open mds with daemon but unmout the image you used to install the game and load the mds instead.
dont add anything på the game..
that file unpacked shows 2,68 GB how thats posible i dont know..:cool:

Its possible because its just a mini image in reality...

The first 20mb or so are real...the rest is just padding (loads of zeros after the 20mb mark or so, this can then be compressed to a tiny size because its just that...nothing), since newer versions of SR7\SF\SD can recognise a minimage.

Well, my experience with this game is the same as the others.
My original works fine, but the copy had the problem with not being able to get out of cars.

Today I tried something different. I replaced the "T" key for action/grab, for the "return" key, maintaining the "space" key as well.

Now I can get out of cars using the "return" key. No problem whatsoever.:)
The "space" still doesn't work for getting out of cars, but the "return" key does.

I'm enjoying very much the game. Others can try this and tell if it works for them.

i have a crack that works for me,i"d like to post it on gamecopyworld but i dont know how to,you just put it in daemon,run sd4hide use the original exe desktop shortcut and play the game,block all internet access and it works great,no problem with inverted controls or getting in and out of vehicles,stole a car at the end of the alley mission with luca brasi took out to guys talked to him till he told me im on my own stole a car drove to the house got out fine and saved it,i think its worth a try for anyone whos having troubles with it working properly,if there is anyone who can tell how submit it to gamecopyworld i'd appreciate it and i"m sure others would to if it works as well for them

That's not a 'crack' that's a mini-image as it still needs the original EXE to run! A proper 'crack' needs no images mounted and replaces the original game EXE!

The technical name is a mini-image and not a crack, a crack is when the coding is manipulated to work a certain way.
