*** YES YOU CAN BURN THIS ISO AND PLAY IT IN YOUR XBOX-360 ***
Microsoft left us with this blanket statement:
"Xbox 360 retail kiosks have started arriving at retailers.
Due to the nature of the distribution process, not all kiosks
are hitting simultaneously, but are continuing to pop up in
retailers across the country in the coming weeks.
The kiosks are designed for a retail environment and feature
game samples, game trailers and product information."
Team Pi leaves you with this Pillow statement:
"It seems Microsoft was in such a hurry to get this stuff out
that they forgot to set the media protection on this disc.
This leaves hackers with the posibility to hack around with
this disc that load from a normal DVDR5 backup! - Team Pi
also notes that the all datafiles on this disc isn't signed in
any way, and will allow for extensive modification for producing
exploits to further our efford to hack this box!"
Playable (hackable) games on this discFor those that don't want to read it....Basically, MS created a bootable demo disk for retailers that was NOT signed (probably rushed). You could actually burn the demo release and it WILL play on your x360.
What does this mean? Well, as it turns out, the demos are not even signed themselves. The x360 is booting not only the demo app itself, but also the games, without being signed. This could lead to future hacking of the demo launcher to allow you to actually boot any x360 executable from that menu.

If it can be hacked to sway that way, only time will tell :)

After reading some of the posts on x-s, it seems that PI is just a hype machine group. Apparently, people have known about this for a good while. Even so, users there already stated that the files are actually signed :(, just not flagged with the media flag (similar to the xbox media check).

You can swap movies out, in a way it is a standalone movie player. However, I think that is it. Team PI just hyped it like this could be usefull, kind of how they released a "special tool" to read their x360 iso images, which turned out to be the same file structure as the original xbox (so basically the current xbox tools could read the iso as well).

Yeah confirmed fake and PI really seems to be credit wh*res...
Qwix for example can read all X360 iso's if you simply rename from "x360" to iso and open it up.

It is still the old XFS but with differrent breakpoints in the iso.

No because even though they are demos and some of which you can get free from the marketplace, the fact is that the disk is illegally posted on the net.

no, the demo disk was ripped and it turns out that the executables were not signed with the "media check". They are still encrypted and everything, but it is like the updates you can download from xbox.com. They are created to work on any media you burn it to.
