Maxi image from CD

Heya all,

I was just wondering if it is possible to create a maxi image from a CD? I know you can do it with DVD images, but every time I try 00ing out any file in the CD image, the file becomes inaccessible. Any ideas why this is happening?

I have tried to google for some info on this topic, but ofc. I couldnt find anything since it isnt exactly widely discussed.

Managed to compress my Civ4 CD down to 150-200MB. But I am not nearly done ;). I hope for the final size to be under 20 MB.

Btw, maxi images only work for SR7 Protected games.

Yep matey, but you can also do em for safedisc DVD's, in case you haven't noticed...

And they would be useful for CD's, if you don't have a DVD version of the game out.

Its hard to make a maxi image for a safedisc CD because it checks random sectors of the disc, so you gotta now what areas it checks for, leave those intact, and 00 the rest.
