I've just got myself a burner (behind the times here) and have attempted to burn my copy of Sims 1..... so the kids can play on both pc's.....

I used Alcohol to burn the copy and had the safedisc option selected to burn.

I've now gome through about 7 cd's... and can't figure out where I'm going wrong....

The game will play okay, until I come to reboot the computer... after a reboot I get an error message to insert the correct CD...

Any help???

Chris

Technically your only allowed to have 1 game per PC.

Try the no-cd crack..

If I follow the instructions, do I still have to burn using safedisk option?

Install the game from your original cd, then extract the cracked exe to the folder on your HD where you have installed the game.
Windows will ask you, if you want to overwrite the original file. Just click YES/OK.

You will need a backup cd to play it if I remember. Its not a proper no-cd it just bypasses the cd authenticating system, which means you can play it with a backup CD.
