A brief Guide on how to downgrade your PSP firmware from 2.00 to 1.50.
Firstly, why would you want to:
Using firmware 1.50 you can run Homebrew games and applications from the PSP memory stick as well as backups of your UMD disc based games (.iso's). On firmware 2.00 you can't (well one or two homebrew apps will work at the mo but not much).
To downgrade you need to find MPHDowngrader which is available from HERE!! (http://rapidshare.de/files/5607151/MPHDowngrader.zip.html) as well as a copy of the PSP bios version 1.50 from HERE!!! (http://shockzone.free.fr/PSP/Tool/EBOOT_1.50.zip) .(Yes, This is the PSP Japanese bios but it doesn't matter. Yr psp won't suddenly start spouting off in japanese. You will still have a UK/US psp.)
The MPHDowngrader program does come with simple instructions however a far better guide on how to carry out the process is available HERE!!! (http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/downgrade_psp_2.cfm)
Do this at your own risk!!!!!!!!! Regards :D
