Anyone tested the new Zone Alarm 6.0 ??
The Prog blocks my normal Broadband internet Connection ?
I must shutdown Zone Alarm, then click on my Internet Provider, then turn on Zone Alarm again, and then it works ??????

Then you probably configured it wrong. Nevertheless v6 seems to have some issues up to know. When I upgraded, it deleted all my configured progs, so I had to configure their access / no access manually again. That sucked !
So have a look if all of your configurations you made in v5 are still there !
I love the latest Zone Alarm to be honest, it saved most of my old options too but I went from older 6.0 to new 6.0.667. Some things had to be reconfiged but most worked great.
Everytime i update zonealarm regardless of the version it deleted my configured progs :(
Thats strange... During the installation I always select "Upgrade" instead of "Complete Reinstall" (or whatever it says). That makes it keep my settings.. Maybe you forget to change that???
nah i always choose upgrade :/

I have always chosen to update....
Normally it kept all my settings until I updated to 6.0.667. This update killed all my settings, even my preconfigured "secure zones" like my home lan. That really, really sucked !

Everything works now. I recommend to deinstall older Version of ZA manually. I had version 5.5 + 6.0 on my pc (Bad Installationprogramm of Zone Alarm 6.0), although I choose "New Installation" at the beginning, not "Update".
By the way, maybe THIS was my fault.

Zone Alarm 6 with new "Smart Defense" is bull****. I re-installed 5.5 again. I had lot probs with silly alerts during playing Battlefield 2 online and a worse ping.

Now it works, but configuring ZA 6 is hard work.
For Battlefield 2 I switched the Smart Defense Trust Button of BF2.exe to "super" (No Questions anymore)
Services.exe (windows) must be "Super", or the game (and PC) collapse during online gaming.
I did this with most safe windows programms to get rid of silly questions.
