Napa Mp3 Problems

Hello , can anybody help me with this problem.... my 1gb napa mp3 player will only allow me to load 750mb of music so im left with 256mb of free space and i get the message CANNOT FIND FILEPATH OR DIRECTORY

is it detected as a hard drive by the pc? or do you need a special program to transfer files (meaning u cant just drag and drop on the drive as if it was a floppy).

If it acts like a hard drive, try formatting it, i had the same problem with my old rio jukebox, and formatting it did the job.
