copy disc1 of DS2?

What is the protection skeem of disc1 of Dungeon Siege 2? I can't even identify the protection, it gets to about 4 % and returns an error about failing on an unidentified file!

At least the nocd exe works, but still would like to know if anyone has managed to copy the original store bought disc1. :confused:
