wanted to know are there any devices which act like converters for Graphics Card.

I want a AGP to PCI Express Converter for my graphics card , if they are avaliable then would it be safe for me to use it as i dont want to sell my 6800 u graphics card and want it to be placed in the new intel 955 mobo which as pci express slot.

i know that pci express cards are avaliable but they are costly.

any solutions ..

also are there mobo around with the latest chipset which support agp or both pci express slots on them.

helpp

There are convertors from AGP to PCIE but you're graphics card will probably run about 10% slower ! I wanted to buy one of these but after googling and reading some tests and stuff I decided to keep my old motherboard and buy a new one next year...

PCIE cards are not all costly, some only a few bucks/pounds more than their AGP counterpart.

Dont go for convertors they never work well, and your AGP card will never send data at PCIE bus speeds anyways.
