Still a couple of days to go before 2 weeks are up before asking.

Before anyone else replies, could you explain your motive for buying this game please

I read a review and after the first paragraph decided all copies of this game should be put in a box, which should then be put in a car, which should then be driven into the deepest cave in the world with an A-Bomb in the trunk and I personally would then hit a big red button which would read "Saving Humanity" in big lettering.

Sounds better fun than the game =D

I have searched alltheweb *literally* and google, however, I can't find that damn no-cd fix either...

Ugh... How annoying.

What a lame first post huh? To bring back a dead thread. Oh well. Sorry.

On GameCopyWord site appears so called No-Cd crack for Singles_2 v1.2 from "Revolver"...

Really -- it's the same No-Cd for v1.0 from "Reloaded" (compare files by contents and You'll see it) plus file "game.cfg" from v1.2 with replaced string "version = 1.2" to "version = 1.0". Bravo! I have nothing to say...

Original starting file "Singles2.exe" v1.0 has 7.827.456 bytes.
Original starting file "Singles2.exe" v1.2 has 5.258.240 bytes.

By replacing game files patched to v1.2 with files from "Revolver" pack You'll get the same v1.0 -- nothing else, because all updates in file "game.cfg" will be ignored by old ".exe"...

Does anybody realize this?

Yeah I was dissapointed when I noticed that too. I was going to make a post to point it out but I didn't want to stir up trouble.

Ok, the last no cd worked for me, but my problem with 1.2, is that the star force protection, won't load on Win x64, without the crack, I can't play the game at all. And with my Nvidia card, all I got was floating eyes and teeth, which is what 1.2 patch is supposed to fix.

Yeah. Thanks star force.

I don't know when the 2 week bit is up for the no-cd, but the only way around this for me is to get a no-cd or make my system a dual boot. Star force has screwed me out of some of my favorite games after I switched my processor. So at this point I'd be happy to just dig up the CD, if it bloody well worked.

Just letting other x64 guys out there know they're not alone.

Damn the publisher! The Starforce developers keep saying that they always have the latest version, including the 64-bit one, of the copy protection available but it's up to the publisher to release the game - or an official update - protected with that rather than an older - or 32-bit only - version. :( (Not that Starforce would be welcome at all anyway...)

Thanks for the update, I shall indeed damn the publisher, but I shall also damn star force, isn't there a way it can just run on both systems? why even split them up in the first place?

I mean, I'm no programmer, but if the game itself is written for x32, and WOW64 can get it to run, why can't star force just include two more aggravating and privacy invasive files so I can play the game?

God bless GCW, for allowing me to play games that I payed for at all, CD or no CD.

As far as I read, 32-bit drivers are not allowed to be installed, let alone activated/launched/run, on a 64-bit system: it would be too much of a security/stability/compatibility problem, if they were running inside WOW64! (Yeah, lowest-level drivers running in an emulated environment! :))

By the way, perhaps, you can download the latest (32-bit and 64-bit) Starforce drivers from their own site and install it over the older and 32-bit only drivers you currently have?!

If I go and get the drivers myself I might be able to install them and make the copy protection work anyway?

Heh, who would have thought I'd come here to get starforce to work, rather than bugger off...

I'll take a look, see what I can get going, will reply with results.

Yeah, I guess, newer Starforce versions are compatible with the older versions expected by older versions... (At least, I've read answers from Starforce many times that said that if you have problems with the copy protection then try the latest version available on the Starforce site.)
