I have installed the new patch, and when I try to launch the mini-image by bleh, it gives me a black screen then promptly crashes to desktop. What exactly am I doing wrong?

i think this is a problem of BF, not of the mini image! try to reinstall the game and the patch, then it could work!

I used the 'Battlefield 2 [ALL] No-DVD/Fixed Image 21-06-2005
SKULL' and it worked fine with Daemon tools.

That is the Bleh mini-image which didn't work for ApeXX!

Try disabling refresh rate overwrite (reforce etc.) if you use it...
I had the exact same problem, but then with 1.0 and from the moment I had installed the game.

I think this has something to do with the new patch, I am experiencing the exact same problem since I installed it yesterday. Presumably the new patch has additional crack protection, as BF worked fine w/ crack until i patched it.

There is no need to post multiple posts of the same question!

Your problems are probably caused by the patch as EA has since recalled it. They recommend that you reinstall the game and not install the new patch (version 1.01).
