High Sisters? and Brothers,
My GTA San Andreas mp3 user tracks don't work.
Wav. and wma. works, but mp3 doesn't. Codec installed, Links okay,
Any idea? For help I'll be thankful. :)

Many people are having sound issues w/ this game including me...
Using custom MP3s is far out of the question right now...
Waiting for an official patch from either Rockstarts or Creative!!
Initial thought would be that you haven't scanned the user tracks.
However, as you say that others work, then thats probably not the problem. What MP3 codec are you using?
Just for reference, I've got LAME MP3 3.96 & Fraunhofer ILLS MPEG Layer-3 mp3 codecs installed.
Try installing one of the major codec packs, maybe it'll sort your probs?

Have already done this but with about 200+ files i wanted to listen to, this will be multiple 100mb or even more so NO chance... ;)
Perhaps the game wont play mp3's over a certain bitrate?
@DabHand: Definitely not; My MP3s are encoded at the highest bitrate that LAMEMP3 does (Can't remember off the top of my head :P)
Another thought from me after looking at the various forums & threads on this- Try turning sound acceleration down to basic in DXDIAG- This seems to fix most GTA: SA sound probs.

What I mean is if the game only plays audio with a 128k bitrate, it wont do well with 192k bitrates if at all
Yeah, I know :)
My MP3s, all of which work perfectly with GTA: SA are all 320kpbs (Had to check that  ), with the exeception of a smattering of 128kbps recorded off records.

Another question: Is it possible to extract (?) the music/soundtrack of GTASA?
I like many stuff of the radio music of SA so wanted to have them as MP3 or sometin like that...is ther some kind a tool?
