Does the Utopia Boot Disk work for ALL copied games?

I have a working Utopia Bootdisk V1.1, and the place i got it said i need to use the bootdisk before i play any old games (Crazy Taxi, RE:CV). The disks i got from the place are either black or purple (Like PSX Discs if black). Will the utopia bootdisk work for like copied games that are Silver-Backed (like normal CDs) or that are regular Green/Blue CD-Rs?
