Got the original game, backing my copy up. Using the noDVD from RLD, the game crashes after playing for a random number of minutes/seconds, it gets kicked by to desktop without any error notice. I do not have this issue uncracked. Got any ideas why this happens?
Thx :o
ps: yes, it runs fine uncracked, demo runs flawless aswell...
That happened to me in C&C Generals cos of my router (fine woth original version). Had to put myself in the DMZ to play. Maybe its the same for you with BF2 :cool:

I am running the game with the crack and have played at least 10 hours intermittently, which leaves me puzzled! :confused: I may be wrong, but for me the crack doesn't seem to be causing a problem!!
What video card are you using. This game needs a good card. Nothing less then a FX 5700 256 mb. If you have anything less then that I suggest you go to the www.planetbattlefield.com forums and see if they can help you. I heard the GF Ti cards crash to the desktop.

Anyone tested the game online with a "shared" CD-Key ?
@Megaschwanz: 2-week-ban !!! Read the board rules !!!
This will work with a FX5200 128mb
So saying 5700 256mb and above is needed is false.

Actually, it can't be my rig. I've got an P4 Dual 3.2ghz (running at 3.8ghz), 1,5 GB DDR2 (533) RAM with an X800XT PE running with an Artic Silencer to cool it. Working in a CoolerMaster case, 2x 120mm fans, 2x 80mm fans..
can't be my rig.. seriously. Also because there isnt any problem with my original copy. I actually AM a DMZ on my router, so that can't be the case. If it would have been, i shouldnt even be able to connect to the Authing server.
Btw, one last important thing: the crashes are completely random. Sometimes it happens after 5 mins, sometimes after 30 mins, sometimes even after 10 seconds.
@Seltitic
Just curious as to why you would want to overclock a 3.2ghz cpu to 3.8? I have virtually the same system you have mentioned and really cant see what you would want to try and gain? I dont have anything overclocked and I have more than enough power to run any game at the highest settings? I only have the ddr 400 ram tho but i do have 2 gig of it. I have the same cpu and the same graphs card as you. Just curious thats all. ;)

good to hear more people like dual processors :) Why overclock? Because I want the edge, i want the best score at benchmarks... it's an addiction really. I've had 2 gigs before aswell, but it's actually slower then 1.5 GB, it's a bit overkill. The only thing I don't have overclocked in my system is my Soundcard really, lol :O
I have only had the 2 gig of ram for a short time, always just had the 1 gig, but wanted more and also wanted to keep it at 'Dual Channel' so had to go to 2 gig to achieve that. ;)

I have got the same problem as Seletitic on my PC and on my brothers one the same. The game crashes randomly and goes back to the desktop. I have got a Radeon 9800 Pro 128 MB and my brother has got a GeForce 6800 GT 256 MB so it could not be a hardware problem.
I think the reloaded crack is broken I will try to reinstall without the crack and then use the fixed mini-image to play.
I think the no-cd crack is bad as well. There are multiple cases of people having crashes when using it and then they re-install it and just use retail dvd or cd and have no more problems.
You coukld be getting kicked because of punkbuster errors if you are playing online. It is supposed to update itself, but it rarely works that way. Just go to their site and download the pbw.exe, and run it.

get kicked when PB is disabled? I tested it with my own server (dedicated), PB disabled, and it still booted me..
If PB kicks you, will get an Kick notice generated by Punkbuster, or it should appear in the PB logs, which it doesnt... No PB...
Can you mount the image in alcohol, or do u need daemon tools? When I DO mount in in Daemon, when I run the game, the screen goes black than restarts my pc. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong please? I would rather not use the fixed .exe, but if I have to, I have to.

I have tried the Image thing today. First I made an Image of my original DVD useing Alcohol 120% using default settings (DPM off, Max Speed, Ignore Read Errors off).
This image workes in the virtual drive of Alcohol 120% (lates version) as well with DaeomTools 3.47 with default controller and drive name. So the SafeDisc used in this games uses no Blacklisting at all.
But the same Image recorded to a DVD+R bitsetted to DVD-ROM dosn't works. It seems that SafeDisc don't only checks the bookytype but even the disctype.
Using the mounted Image there were no crahes at all so it is definitely a part of the copy protection.
Perhaps you was having EMULATION set to on, so it was working in your virtual drive.

that would be a big 10-4
I'm just wanting to play single player off-line but unable to.

I've never played Battlefield and so I'm new with this game. Is it strickly an online game. I've installed the no-cd stuff and it only gives me on-line options.
I would hope you did a little more research before buying it ...
BF2 is primarily an online game. There is a single player 'mode' where you can play the 16 player version of the maps with bots. You cannot, however, play the 32 and 64 player maps unless you play multiplayer (or play alone on your own local server).

So you admit using a warez serial, how quaint.

Your graphics card could be being gay. When I played the demo, when ever I had lighting on medium or high, while playing a singleplayer game, the game would crash, but with the retail version, lighting works fine in singleplayer but having effects on medium or high causes the game to crash. Try playing with the graphics down, and if that's the case, trial and error to find the problem.

Is there anyways to backup without the use of a No-CD ?

@Cyclops:
You can specify whether you want a multiplayer account or a singleplayer one in the account manager, which pops up every time you start a game.
How can i use a 64 player map in the SP game? If i play on 64 player map the bots are more stupid than in BF V. They do nothing!
