RESPONSE: I take it you've got it chipped to play backups
A guide to burn ps2 cd rom/dvd rom that i have downloaded from the net
RESPONSE: It depends on the format you've downloaded. I'll assume you've unpacked these massive downloads and the result will be a BIN/CUE file combination. This is the best re-burn medium because you can patch the BIN file if necessary. You would use CDRWin to re-burn to CD-R using the settings stated in the tutorials that you've already read.
A word of caution. It's dodgy enough expecting a download of a game to be useable - corruption can occur in transmission and you have no idea of whether the source was any good in the first place. The forum is full of such cases. Therefore, keep your variables down and BUY a copy of CDRWin. It's bad enough trying to avoid buying games, but then to take a cracked version (that will fail you eventually) of the key piece of restorative software is big time stupid.
Forgive the lecture if you already have a legal copy of CDRWin.

Charlie -
Any suggestions for those of us running Windows XP? CDRWin seems completely unusable since XP addresses CD-R drives differently. I can run Nero 5.5.5.1 with no problems but it doesn't have the same configuration switches as CDRwin so I'm not sure if I'm doing everything right.
Thanks for any info!
Frogfish - I'll install CDRWin fresh onto one of my CDRWin PCs at the weekend, hook up the Yamaha 2100S and get back to the Forum with the result. If it works, then we;ll have to look at differences.
