How to play Farcry like lan, only on wan?

Patches that make this possible are called "private server patches" or similar (the stress is on the word "private"). Search around for such stuff. Good luck,

or you can setup a VPN (virtual private network) and use the lan-mode over the internet.

Or get multiple Wireless Routers and set them all up except 2 at each end to be wirless access points :P
