Hi, I recently purchased a new pc and the mouse has been driving me crazy. I can be about to click on something in the middle of the screen and next thing I know, my start menu appears because the mouse has decided to shoot off to the bottom left hand corner. Assuming I had a faulty mouse, I purchased another one, and this one is doing exactly the same!! Both are infra-red. Any ideas? Thanks for reading.
mmy mouse is a MS optical one... and it has spazims kinda like yours some times it just goes crazy and it drives me insane trying to play CSS so i anyone has any ideas please share
ok,
this "mice" will run if u plug em, except for some people that happens and thats why there is a drivers cd with the mouse box, install it, and see what happens.
I think it could be this:
Click on START-MENU -> SETTINGS -> SYSTEMCONTROL -> MOUSE
Then on the MOVEMENT-TAB on top of the Mouse-Property window.
Just take a look, if the option "Move mousepointer to standard" is activated.
(I don't really know the exact names of the english windows xp)

I have the same trouble in the past and i was told that this was because of the surface i was using it on if you stick to a fairly plain surface with not much variation in colour on it you should be okhttp://www.fileforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Thanks guys. I gave up in the end and bought a non-optical mouse instead. No problems now!
