Can anyone tell me if this is a good spec pc for the price , as i am looking to upgrade
its ok... but you could provably do better yourself in any computer fair
thx for the reply, :D
I know computer fairs are a lot cheaper but i thought it is easier to buy from a reputable company.
All i want the pc for is so i can play the latest games with ease ?
I have been told thou that a AMD 64 is better than a p4 of equivalent spec is this true ? for less money
i have a AMD 2.0 ghz pc downstairs which i want to upgrade and a Intel Celeron 2.8 ghz upstairs with 512 ddr in both.
The celeron plays half life 2 and counter strike source no problem but takes ages to load up.
ok well what you need to upgrade is say... for example to 1gig ram and an up to date 256mb graphs card. dont go below the geforce fx5900 if you want a decent gaming life-spam ;)
and buy an athlon64.much better much cheaper
Thx for the advice :D .
Will go shopping right away,
Don't suppose you know of any half decent places to purchase these from ??
Thx again
since ur from the uk, www.microdirect.co.uk :) (sometimes the site seems to be down, but dont worry, they are tottally trustworthy).
Hi, Sorry to be a noob but how do i find out what my motherboard is, so i know what i need to upgrade.
Looked in my manuals,on box, in system information :(
