XIII pc god mode?

Is there a way of playing XIII with god mode. Several posts say to edit the user.ini but the retail version does not have a user.ini and the game will not save one if you create it. So how to do it without using a trainer?

I found some cheats on a german cheat-website:

Press [F2], to get the console to enter cheats. You can enter the following cheats then confirm with [Enter].
HEALME 100 set life-energy to 100
MAXAMMO ammo for all weapons you have
PLAYERSONLY freeze all persons (on/off)
FLOWERPOWER 1 turn on Flower-Power-Mode (Flowers&Heart instead of blood)
FLOWERPOWER 0 turn off Flower-Power-Mode
SUPERDEFORM big feets and heads
SUICIDE suicide
QUIT exit the game

I don't know if these cheats are working!

:cool: The healme one works, haven't tried the others. If you look at the game.exe with a hex editor, there's several instances of godmode, so there's got to be some method of activating it. thanks for reply...

For me none of the cheats are working. But there's a good trainer, which could help me through the harder parts.

:D Finally found out how to turn on god mode in xiii on pc. Another gamer posted on obscure site that he had interpreted some german cheats from another site. Follows is what must be done:

First you need a hex editor, such as hex workshop.
In the xiii system directory, open the engine.u file.

Search for the word God. The one you want is almost always the first found and it will be by itself with no other letters near it.

On the left side of the hex screen will be 47 6F 64.
With your cursor clicked at beginning of 47 on left window.

Now type 44 6F 67. In the right screen will appear Dog.
Save the file and agree to a backup also.

In game, as always hit F2 to open the console and type dog and hit enter.
A message at lower right of screen says God Mode On. To turn it off, type in dog again.

Having god mode on during a nightmare scene might have undesirable effects.

I found a trainer that uses those codes, but has it set up to use a single keystroke. It was a pain having to type those out, I have to say... ;)
