View Full Version : Best Sub-$200 Video card
What would you say is the best AGP video card for less than $200.
Plan to put an AGP one in my new PC.
I use my PC for everything from games to essays.
I have been tossing between the Leadtek 256meg A360TDH and the GeCube 9800 (R360 VPU) Xtreme 256meg video card.
Which one would you go for or is there an even better card?
Also, What is more important, the amount of memory (256meg) or how many bits it is(256 bit)?

Not sure about the best AGP card as I went with PCI Express but the diff between the 128mb and the 256mb cards is usually only 5-10% as the diff with the 128 bit and 256 bit is quite a lot. It depends a lot on the card too.
Here is a link someone sent me when I was looking for a good card.

Hope it helps
I say go for GeForce 6600GT, in many games it's much powerfull than 9800 series, here's a good review of it:

and here you can see how it performs in half life 2 :

Yes, the 6600GT is a great card. I have one myself but I have the PCI Express version. Is the AGP version out yet?
yeah it's a week that it's out, I saw the XFX and Albatron one on pricewatch.
