Bought an xbox

Hey all,

Well I just bought a black v1.4 (i think anit ad time to check, but mate bought it xmas)

It came with all leads, 1x controller and 4x games.

Right I have been reading that I do not need to chip my xbox, I can just flash the on board bios with a chips bios and it will have the same features and effects.

My friend in Norway had an alladin, but he removed it once he installed it cus it flashed the on board bios or something and no longer needed to chip as it did the same thing without the chip...

Is this possible if so how? As I will be doing this like A.S.A.P...
Then upgrading the HDD and playing on xbconnect xD

He Flashed tsop then. You need a modchip anyway to do this. You could softmod it but it just as easy to solder in.

To flash the tsop you need an evox install disk.

hmm ok, thats weird, on ebay in germany they are selling a CD/DVD that can suposily do it.

Which Modchip is best for xbox, I dont want no flash thing, I just want to be able to have a 120gb+ hdd and be able to play on xbox live (2months trial).

I was looking at the Duo x2, any good?

just remember, once you do it, you can no longer go on xbox live.

it says it supports xbox live though the disable switch.

If you flash the onboard TSOP then you're never gonna be able to go on Xbox live. You can go on to XBL if you have a modchip that has a disable switch.
