I am just now getting around to backing up this dvd and when using AnyDvd and CloneDvd2 I am getting errors right in the middle of the process and it stops. (I unforturnatly forgot to write down the errors).
I usually go straight to DVD Decriptor and it works fine and then I use CloneDvd to compress and burn.
But now I get a error with DVD decriptor.
I/O!

I have never seen this before and am not sure what it is telling me.
I have the latest version of AnyDvd and CloneDvd, and dvd decriptor.
I am using Ritek G05 media.
By the way, I tried searching anything for Hidalgo and could not find anything
I retried with CloneDVD and got the following error:
Processing error:
Data Error(cyclic redundancy check)
Thanks for the help

Well I tried to back Hidalgo using DVD shrink also and at the same spot, (48%) I got the same error with CloneDvd.
Data Error (cyclic redundancy check)
Does anyone know what this could be.
Could it be that my dvd is bad. I will have to watch it and see I guess.

What version of Anydvd do you have? Have you tried reading it with a different drive?

Ok, I just watched the movie again and it stops at about the half way mark. So my conclusion is that my dvd is bad. I am going to see if I can get an exchange.
My AnyDvd is 4.1.0.1
It also stops on my other DVD player also.
I will try to get another one tomorrow.
Thanks for your help anyway Tyler.

P.S. I can't find anything on the dvd that looks bad on the service either. HUM!!

Trust me guy, it happens. Ive had at least 2 bad discs in my time. Both looked perfectly fine. As soon as I got a replacement the new discs had no problems.

Well I got my new replacement of Hidalgo and it plays just fine. BUT! I am getting the same error when trying to backup. In the CloneDVD log I get the error: Clone 1 TCE
I have the whole log copied but not sure what to look for. I ripped it with DVD Decrypter just fine but when I try to compress and burn (with CloneDVD2) I get the same error.
Just cant figure this one out.
HELP! LOL!
It stops at the same point everytime!
Terik
AnyDvd 4.1.0.1
CloneDvd2 2.5.3.3
Dvd Decrypter 3.5.1.0
Dvd Shrink 3.1.5.7
Update: It will play just fine in my TV dvd but will not play right in my computer. It shows the chapters in CloneDvd but does not show the previews
either.
Also the Dvd Decrypter rip was not good either. Just found that out.
Hum! Will keep trying!
Thanks again,
Terik

I wonder if anyone has backed up this DVD successfully. I really don't even like it that much but I did pay for it so I feel i have to back it up. LOL!

This is very odd. Ill try and look into it this weekend. I think my local rental store has one on sale for $12.

Thanks Tyler but it is really not that important. Don't go buy it just to figure this out. If I can't figure it out, remember I still have the original.

I've backed up Hidalgo using DVD Decrypter and Instant Copy 8 with no error messages or problems.

Thanks, i will see if it has a trial version. I have already purchased so many, I hope it does. This one movie is really not worthy of purchasing more software. LOL! If you know what I mean.
Back to the drawing board!
