Xenium -- ICE edition . yay?

I have the "first gen" Xenium chip for my v1.3 Xbox. It works grand! My friend is going to buy an Xbox and I'm thinking of selling my current Xenium and buying the spiffy, white, ICE edition.

Other than expenditure of money, is there any cogent reason not to?

Well, if yours has an os, and supports that tft screen, then no. If yours doesn't and you don't want tose features anyways, then no.

There would be no real gain in updating, so i would just stick with what you have.
