I was able to boot using the Utopia 1.1, then the MP3 player loaded fine and I was able to change directories and seemingly load the actuall MP3's, but no audio never came of anything... perhaps I need to make it selfbooting for some reason, but it doesn't make sense that that would be the problem. So I, too, have yet to succeed.
I burnt this MP3 player to a cd with a dir of about 10 mp3's to give it a go, I burnt it using Nero burning rom prog, burnt succesfully, booted up in DC with boot disk succesfully, loaded the white screen saying 'DREAMCAST MP3 PLAYER' and listed said 10 mp3's down the left side of the screen.
I pressed A and it started to play the first mp3, played all the way through, then finished, went on to next track and stopped! just bloody stopped, booted it up again, tried a diff tune in the list, wouldnt play!, ffs, If ppl are gonna release these dodgy progs on websites, can they at least make fu#king sure they work FIRST, or at least give a half decent readme with the zip, instead of the piece of shit included currently, then I wouldnt of wasted a perfectly good cpl of discs tryin to get this pile of wa#k working
I downloaded the program and put the roms onto the disc using nero5.
it played 4 out of 10 mp3's
i agree with u guys......why release something that doesnt work and be4 anyone sayz that they were duff mp3's WHY THE HELL DID THEY WORK ON A PEPPED OUT PSX?

Hey guys.
Slow down.
Now let's stop going off and think about this one for a second. You have to be somewhat intuitive to use progs like this. It's what keeps them from being used by the mainstream "cattle". Think about this and it should start to become clear. Here's a hint...think bitrate :)
