ps2 has a problem reading disks

hi there just got my ps2 chipped the duo chip, now it works fine with original disks, but when i put my back ups in sometimes i have to give it a few tries to get it to work, could this be due to the type of media i am using at the moment im using bulkpaq could this be the problem, a lot of people tole me to use disks that have ritek dye

Yep. Bulkpaq are crap. Get some media which uses Ritek G04 dye :)
